Long time forum “lurker,” first time poster.

Had an 04 Yukon Denali sold it at 250k miles, bought and 07 Tahoe LTZ in 2014 as it had always been my dream car and I found a cheap one so I pulled the trigger. Fast forward 2 years and it saves my life in a head on collision at highway speeds. Total loss not my fault. Other guys insurance cuts me a fat check. Once I recovered and was green lit from the doctor to start driving I bought a 2010 Yukon Denali with 100k on the dash. Love these trucks. Will never buy anything else.

Welcome, and nice trucks! Glad you are healthy and happy after that crash. Where are you located?

Oops sorry forgot to mention that. I’m just north of Chicago up in Waukegan. Anyone else from northern Illinois here? Funny. That Tahoe took a beating and still didn’t look nearly as bad as the little Corolla that decided to dart out in front of it. If you look close enough there are parts of his front end stuck into mine. Like the Chevy was hungry for an import.

I knew it. You look so familiar. I'm in Wheaton.

Well the wreck is a bummer.... but seems like you made out good. I’d so much rather be in a big suv in a crash like that. Nice Denali! Looks damn good for 100k! Welcome to TFY!

Welcome from Miami Beach Mike!! Happy to hear your Tahoe saved your life!! Very nice 2010 Denali!!

When I travel from Miami-NYC it is scary to see a family packed in a small vehicle like a Yaris or Corolla out there on the interstate doing 70 plus mph surrounded by tractor trailers and other large SUV's.

Just got a 2” front leveling kit for the Denali. Was cheap under 80 bucks. I probably just opened Pandora’s box in terms of wrenching on this truck other then brakes, oil, fluids, etc..... I’ll post some before/after in lifted section once I do it this week.

Mike :welcome:to the forum from Georgia Dawg country, glad to have you. Unfortunate circumstances for you but all is well and the final outcome is great. Sometimes it pays to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, you've had yours. Now you can keep us posted on the progression of your new ride, good luck.
