MAN, I couldn't tell you when or where it happened, but that the only wheel where the lugs were loose. All but the lock nut. I may buy another set of lock nuts and have 2 per wheel. I have some temp open lugs pm there now until new ones arrive. But that wheel was LOOSE. im glad further damage didn't occur.

Had this happen to me on my Buick years ago. Wheel came off, skipped over two lanes, hopped into a parking lot and totaled a civic.

I had some ones "rigged" hood fly off in front of me one time and would have killed my passenger at the time luckily the corner of the hood just stabbed the window and deflected off, guy was piss ass broke, no insurance, I could tell there was no way I was going to get a red cent outa that guy luckily it was just a window, it was one of those final destination kinda things.

this is why I put an aftermarket alarm in with tilt sensor, glass sensor, etc.

What kind of alarm do you have? Do you have a mobile alert device? I'm really nervous about wheel/vehicle theft and break-ins. Thinking about getting an alarm with tilt and glass sensors but have heard a lot of bad reviews about the mobile alert devices.

I have a viper 5906v with smart start cellular module, gps tracker module, tilt sensor, glass sensor. it is a color oled fob with 1 mile range, viper phone app. I can be in Africa and start my car here, lock, unlock, pop the rear hatch. I have had this system and the previous models since smart start came out and baring a couple of minor glitches (on previous models) it works great.
if the alarm is triggered it signals the fob which has sound and vibration, and sends me a alert thru the app and records the alert in the app. the only thing I don't like about it is the current fob buttons are very sensitive and will depress in your pocket if you have it in a pocket with anything else, it does have a keylock option which helps but it will still buzz at you if the buttons are depressed in your pocket. a little annoying sometimes till you move it a little but I'd rather that happen then go out to a ****** up truck because some tweaker had to have my dvd system or wheels. on my old nbs if they ripped out the system usually it would cost another $500 to have the shifter fixed on top of anything else. it's not cheap to have installed and there is a yearly subscription for the smart start but it's worth it to me. I had mine set to sound both the viper alarm and the truck horn and I have added a internal high decibel siren (somewhat like a **** alarm) so even if your dead asleep it will wake you up and half the neighborhood.
