simply as an outside observer to your situation, it looks like you beat the F out of your truck.

I would agree with this post may want to look at how your habits are with cars. I have personally bought a beat up truck and by the time I sold it the truck was in better shape then when I bought it. These trucks do not just fall apart without some help from the owner or kids or dogs or whatever else can impact the vehicle.

Well she’s back in shop again this time to get new control arms idler and tensioner everything is getting handled relatively cheap I’m just ready to have her back right! Since I made this post I also got some top notch seat covers from car Id and covered all the holes and leather tear marks and the truck is looking a million times better! I just now need to save up for some minor body work. I also snatched the rims off since I moved to Louisiana I couldn’t quit cracking rims and it got old.

I picked up truck today and got alignment and one new motor mount it’s driving perfect. Buddy of mine from car club is redoing my sub box for me so I should be getting that soon also!
You’ll like New Orleans just when you go bring plenty of cash not so much for partying or shopping because that’s not really anything special but for the food..I moved here in July and I can’t tell you how much I’ve spent on food just because there is always one more restaurant I just have to try.

I think his push-to-open/push-to-close" latch is broken on the filler door. Still, I'm sure it's an easy fix and probably really cheap if he got a latch from the salvage yard.

...David, you DO know you press inward on the fuel door to make it pop out so you can pull it open it, right? I don't mean to insult you, but your issue just reminded me of when my neighbor's wife screwed up the filler door on her brand-new '09 Tahoe the day after she bought it because she didn't know how to open it. She thought it was broken and stuck and freaked out. She borrowed a big screwdriver from the cashier at the gas station and put some nice gouges in the paint around the edge of the opening.
ouch!

It depends on what you call "nice", where you visit and at what time you visit!

Well brake pads went out in under a year, I know I got a lot of weight and road rims for a while but that seems almost a little to fast..I’m going to be checking out the Wagner severe duties hopefully they do me better. Last place was supposed to use the heavy duties but now I’m wandering if they pulled a fast one

More common problems...

I thought by now you'd have experienced and fixed all the common problems!
honestly I never had any of these problems on none of my previous vehicles but I’m getting them under control..you live and you learn I contemplated selling my truck and getting a gas saver that’s more reliable but I can’t bring myself to doing it.

i honestly don’t know whatever’s factory on a 09 tahoe lt I guess. In other news I’m thinking of switching all my 4 alternators to one brand since voltage hasn’t been stable lately and I been getting lots of squealing. Plus they are all mismatched right now I currently have 3 kinds. Thank god they all got warranties so I’ll have back ups for a long time.

You will be miserable if you buy a smaller gas saver for real.

One of my neighbors a few months sold his 2008 5.3 Tahoe for 3500 bucks with almost 300K miles on it..Everything worked perfectly as he had it serviced every 4K miles and had all service records..The new owner [19 years old] was happy as pig in shit and still is as I saw him a couple of weeks ago.

My neighbor then bought a used 2012 6 banger Ford Explorer. He hates it and is going to sell it for another well maintained Tahoe or Denali.

Stick with OEM, see if the cop ones will fit. Or ceramic. I put whatever came on from the factory, they were pricey but my 7,300 pound truck stops where I want it to.
