This was actually Thursday, but I "chromed" my bowtie and removed the Flexfuel badge. Took about 10 minutes start to finish for both using a heat gun. Now I gotta clean the rest of the truck to match the two new clean spots.

It may be a bit too "blingy". I thought about using something to give it a slight brushed finish, maybe rub it horizontally with 0000 steel wool or really fine sandpaper. Or I'll just color match the inner part one day. I'll leave it alone for now and see how I like it later before I do anything else permanent.

I've been thinking about a good spot to put one. Thanks!

What size and how did you mount it? Tow hooks still seem to be accessible?

It's a 20" bar and it fits pretty good with the tow hooks but you have to do a lot of modifying to the bumper and cover lots of cutting involved

Replaced the seat backs. The P.O. destroyes them installing the headrest I guess. The new ones are not all leather, but I digress.

ZeroGot my husky mud flaps today. 30 min install. I can't wait to lower her (take the rough country 2.5 level out the front and 2" drop springs in the rear).

I don't hate them, but I dont love them either. Function over form.

Looks good in the pic. Throw some clear over it for the time being to hold up and rock it until you can get the paint job.

Sometimes those short term less-than-perfect fixes make all the differfence.

People can bash rattlecan jobs all they want, but if its done right with a good brand, it looks good and you cant tell. Rock it man, and definitely throw some clear on it.

Hi All, new member here!

Today I spent a lot of time at work catching up on this thread! Picked up this '12 Suburban LT with 94K. Broke down far from home over Labor Day weekend ... the mechanics were let out early for the long weekend but of course the sales staff was there ... so this is how we got home, lol. I came from an '03 Burb LT that was heavily modded when I bought it, so I am looking forward to tweaking this baby a bit on my own.

I may end up with a build thread, but until then, is this a safe place to ask questions on parts, maintenance and mods? I mean safe as in not getting flamed for wrong thread/forum, etc? I am definitely cool with differing opinions. I can already tell a few things I want to do are not popular around here. *cough, hood visor, cough*

Cheers! - Bob

Pretty sure escalade head unit won't work maybe I'm wrong. I know Yukon, Avalanche, Tahoe, Burb, Sierra , and Chevy trucks are the same Escalade is different
