lol, you should see some of the boxes I have received stuff in amazing that they still had anything inside of them, if the booster is not cracked or broken I wouldn't worry to much.

I'd examine it very closely. If everything appears ok, I'd install it. Who delivered it? UPS, US mail?

That is a fedex package, however not there fault. the person that shipped it did not pack it correctly, had it been packaged correctly that would never have happened

I agree with @Doubeleive and @Tonyrodz, check it thoroughly and install it but I would also get a hold of RA and send them the pics of the box and let them know that you received your part in this box and maybe they should contact the shipper to let them know. Was the booster just laying in there or was it all packed up with padding around it?

No packaging, just the booster in a box full of holes. Someone at RA opened it to put the receipt and magnet in it. Looks like it may have been returned already once. First time I ever had one in my hand so I don't know if the play i feel is ok or not.

ordering from rockauto is hit-n-miss sometime's its packaged good and sometimes it's not, when the person that is 1 short of a 6 pack packs it then this is the result.

I would be getting a hold of RA and let them know that it came with no packing in there and that is completely unacceptable. They sponsor on this forum. That is complete ********. I would also demand another booster that is packed correctly and has not been rattling all over the place in shipment. As long as you can wait for it.

the chances of them getting that message to the shipping department is slim to none, lol rockauto has everything streamlined, returns are automated and notations are probably overlooked a lot

I contacted them with a question/request just last week and they replied with an actual response the same day.

I'm not sure whether to put it in or not. It's a PIA job so I really don't want to do it twice. What concerns me the most is the arm has made so many holes in the box and how much damage has it received while doing so.

I'm not in a rush so I should probably return it.

And also this was only in transit for one day, and there is no way that box got that damaged in that time. It's either been very poorly handled or it's been returned once already.

I would get another one and send back that one if you have the time. Plus, that booster was bouncing in there with no packing to keep in place. That could have been a perfectly good box and got that damage in one day. IMO

The tape covering the holes is the same that was used to seal the box up.

FYI I'm shipping and receiving on a daily basis for my business.

As much as I'm unhappy with the way it was received I can't see any damage / scratches on the arm and so I'm going to put it in. Guess I should have bought one with a core return as that would have probably had packaging in the box.

Still very poor though RA. This should have had some brown paper packaging in the box to stop the product making holes in the box..

This is the world we live in now with everybody sitting at home on their asses and lack of workers that give a shit packaging and delivery. Everything is a mess right now. And the ones out there trying to a good job are overwhelmed imo.
