What is the factory driveshaft critical speed (driveshaft rpm)?

Thought it was 4556 for our XLs but if that was so Wes would've blown up a 100 of them! Have read that the critical speed of the front one is 5000 rpms but that puts our top speed in the 130s.

Was trying to calculate it mathematically but was not sure about exact lengths (tube or ear to ear) and tube thickness. I'll revisit this someday unless someone beats me to it and saves my eyes!

Picked it up today. It’s an LT. I traded one of the PPVs. Got what I paid for it 2 years ago.

New motor mounts in. Tomorrow it is getting a professional shine up. Lots of little scratches accumulated over the last year.

I'm hoping the detailer fixes all the rust, installs a new kooks longtube headers/full exhaust, does a transmission build, dod delete, cam, and throws on a blower...but my gut tells me he'll just do the detailing.

Haha nope. I've thrown many motorsports parts and ideas at her she is numb to it by now. Plus I was pretty clear at the start that we always have separate finances. We can have a joint account strictly for mutual purchase things (mortgage), but we won't ever have all of it together. That would be insanity. Now we get to be ignorant of each other's stupid purchases and be all the merrier for it haha

Working on two new tunes for the ol hoe.

Next step, 6.2 timing table.
there are these torque tables that apparently really make up the difference.

So, I have two tunes ready, one with just the tables.
the next one that has the torque stuff with it.

Apparently, that will also affect my transmission shifting since it uses those tables to calculate shift stuff.
So some of the pressures are getting lowered a tad.

I think the v2 of the 6.2 timing tables with those tables will be what i want in the end.

Damn that looks great! Been putting off a full detail, but with the mechanical stuff done (for now) it might be time. Did you remove the door cladding? If so what did it take? I assume some combo of hair dryer and fishing line...

I revisited my dash install today. I recalled a comment about the brackets under the airbag and then remembered that one didn’t seem quite right. I pulled the airbag again and took out the two 10mm mounting bolts to find the right side bracket lifted up a lot. Thats what I recalled and I believe it creates stress on the other side of the left bracket where the first crack always starts. As I pushed down on that bracket I believe I could see the flex in the dash where the other crack was in the old dash. I found a spacer that fit perfectly and reassembled everything. The slots in the airbag mount still allowed for assembly too. Gad I came back to that!

Heat gun. Hot day. Dental Floss. Patience. Braided fishing line would work too though. Then theres all sorts of stuff to pull the rest of the adhesive off with.

IMO, a Hair dryer is too out of control. Its like a spring break heat solution; wild in the streets. Just get a heat gun from HF. If it works once it's served its purpose.

That’s weird that would be like that. I’ve only done the dash in my Silverado and both sides of those brackets sat perfect. Good eye.
