No problem on mine in the cold.....Mine fell off on one side the other day too. Am going to resolder it tomorrow. Guess that cold spell got us all in the same way.

had to order the red tint for the putco third light housing apparently nobody in town stocks red tint
I thought the same thing to. Also one of my high beams blew out to.
Just go with it..red tint...putco...sureAm I the only one lost.... care to elaborate?
I have a escalade third brake light housing and just had it painted to match and I have the putco third brake light but they only make it with a chrome housing, I want it to be red so I am going to put red tint on the housing, I figured one of the specialty tint and vinyl shops would carry some around town but apparently not around here.Am I the only one lost.... care to elaborate?

and I just found out today the dealer found metal shavings in the front diff and they think there may be something going on with the rear diff, I have a powertrain warranty so this is all covered but I am researching what the options are for a upgraded front differential and just pay the difference for the better parts presuming there is even such a thing mine should be a GU6 but there is some other BAAA id? that may come into play so I need to figure that out and if there is a issue with the rear I will want to put in a Eaton Detroit which should last me a long time. I knew this warranty would pay out nicely one way or another.
...better buy a lotto ticket... lol
I like the light in general I just wanted it in red, I ordered a 10' roll of red tint which is of course way more than I need but it was only $23, I will post some pics once I have the tint, it will probably be over a week before I can do anything else anyway since the truck will be in the shop at least a week waiting on the insurance company to send there adjuster and getting parts, etc.How do you like the Putco light?
Can you post some pics?
I did my conversion myself with turn signals built in.
Thanks for the idea @Galante and @guy from norcalThat just ain't right. Its gotten over freezing once in a week here. This ain't right.
I'd go for itHmmm... I have a quart of acetone and a 3 gallon bucket of lightly-used ATF in the shop. I should mix some into a spray bottle.
no but I can never get those things to come off I always have to just cut them off with wire cutters or a hacksawReplaced the quick disconnects on the heater hoses. I replaced them a couple years ago and had one start leaking the other day. I thought it was just a hose clamp but when I went to replace it the whole nipple broke off where it had become brittle and cracked so I replaced both of them. When I replaced them a couple years ago I replaced the T- fitting quick disconnects as well. I sure wish someone made these out of brass or some other metal, this plastic stuff just doesn't seem to hold up very well.
I have pondered the idea of getting rid of all the Q disconnects and running a brass T fitting but it wouldn't be very clean. If I didn't have rear heat I would just flare the ends of the heater core nipples and slide a hose over them and forget about it.
Anyone know of a better solution???
