Used to crank down one of these before every PFT run.
Isn't there rubber stoppers on the inside of console lid? otherwise any kind of felt will workI silicone sprayed my brake pedal pivot as per @Doubeleive's instructions.
No more squeek!
I also regreased the pedal pushrod end.
The old grease was dried up but didn't squeek.
Now to attach something fabric to the seat side bolsters (or console lid) so they don't squeak against each other.

The Spraymax is awesome! I did the headlights on my old Camry and my girlfriend's old Prius and it still looked new three years afterwards (unfortunately, both were totaled, so I can't give an update).Side quest while I’m fixing up the front end. The clear was starting to peel on these aftermarket housings after about 4 years. Sanded all the clear off with 400, 600 and 800 wet and will spray with spraymax 2k 2in1 headlight clear coat probably Friday
I had the same issue on my '86 BMW 535i, along with the seat belt latch rattling on the console on the passenger side when unoccupied. I used the fuzzy half of Velcro to take care of both problems. What happens is, when I lean towards the center of the truck or shift around in my seat...
..the seat rubs on the console, and those two vinyl surfaces squeak.
Maybe a console cover that's made of fabric oughta do it...
If the foam seat cushion is rubbing that far out, it's probably time to replace the foam before the seat cover starts creasing and cracking. What happens is, when I lean towards the center of the truck or shift around in my seat...

It's the backrest of the seat that rubs the console lid, not the cushion! If the foam seat cushion is rubbing that far out, it's probably time to replace the foam before the seat cover starts creasing and cracking.

A couple of things:
* I'm sure you already know, but you absolutely need to use a proper respirator with this stuff.
* 800-grit is too coarse, IMO. When I've done it, I've gone up to 2500. YMMV.
Gotcha gotcha. It's the backrest of the seat that rubs the console, not the cushion!
There's about a 1/4" gap, but if I lean or shift around in the seat, it makes contact...
I asked Justin in person and he said he does not lock his tunes. I had them tune a 98 Suburban after a rebuild 3 years ago.I have the AutoCAL V3, and was wondering if I could see the live data, or a log. I haven't really played around with the logs to see if I could load them and observe. Or, is the BlackBear stuff locked down for viewing?

There's less than a 1/4" gap, but if I lean or shift around in the seat, it makes contact and gives me a squeak.
The console lid getting leaned on does squeak from the rubber feet as well..
The amount of rattles in my Yukon drive me nuts..but at this point the only way to fix it is to tear the whole dash out lolold gm plastic squeaks will drive you crazy lol. I chase them for a while, if I don't fine it. I give up. and get back around to it. if not I'd. end up tearing the whole thing apart haha. I have something in a drivers side rear door that has a rattle/squeak. I can't figure it out. driving and if I hop in the back with someone else driving it doesn't so it. ugh.
the mainly bother me at 4am half asleep zombie mode on the way to work.

I'll honestly just hotglue the sticks ontop of the dash cuz I already have a dash pad over it now. Theres a couple holes in the dash so its not gonna look good either way I do it. I dont have a middle speaker but everything else is shattered.I just recently replaced that front part by the windshield with the Dorman one. my dash has a few cracks in it too. while off I mixed some epoxy up, cut up some popsicle sticks. put masking tape on the popsicle sticks, loaded it up epoxy. reaches back up under and stuck them across the cracks. hoping the tape would hold it up while it dried. also removed the middle speaker and glued up the cracks there too. left the speaker out. it's kinda ridiculous how heavy that is to not have any support. Just hanging on brittle plastic all these years.
then popped the new panel in. after it all dried the next day. I was pretty surprised how solid it was and has less rattles and stuff for the low effort.
if yours is cracked all up. it might be worth a try.
