Had to crawl under the car three times today with it in gear to put the dam shift linkage back on so I could put it in reverse to park.
Parts are supposedly showing up tomorrow to fix that crup

Would POR-15 work? It pretty thick stuff, hates UV but I think it might seal the ends up enough and protect it. Just shooting from the hip..
I doubt that would wick into the crack, which is what was asked. However, it would make a good top coat. I have some cold-rolled steel bar coated in POR-15 that's been outside for 20 years and still looks good.

Just spray some Fluid Film on/into the area then repeat the application every 6 months when you rotate the tires {or whenever you have the front wheels off)

Not uncommon for the street side in salt country. I always theorized it was. Corrosion from under a wet brake pad that sat a couple days.
Oh yeah, I always forget about you guys in salt country. A completely different set of problems than I have to experience. Thats a new one for me there. Damn.

I would love this thing.
I have been using a step stool and stabbing my gut with the hood latch while i work on the hoe.
I laid a bunch of cardboard over the latch, but it just stabbed straight through the cardboard and hit me with some velocity as i "fell" into it. :jester:

it would be even better if i could fully lay on top of it while i worked.

In the end, I'm thinking about lifting the hoe by a few inches as well.

Probably not until I'm ready to replace the tires, but I'm still iffy about it.
i might just lift the front a little to level it out.
Then see how it handles my property.

if that sucker is prime, i might try it out later down the road.
worst comes to it, i can return it easy that way.

I will probably lower mine when I replace all the front end components. That and some replica or gem 22s of some sort

I'm pretty sure if I could fully lay on it, I would just end up napping under the hood.
