I always thought you had to try and get the panel off from inside somehow, this is a lot easierI almost wanna drill mine and plug it at home so if I'm out somewhere and it fails, I won't need to worry with a drill or anything. Not yet, I just needed the flap that folds down and covers the mirror. Just need to disassemble it and install it in mine. Gonna try this weekend when I'm off.

I couldn’t figure how to remove that mirror, that’s when the glass broke.

I was thinking the same, there must be some room for error in that 1"+ hole, or that is the size of cap they typically have floating around.
