Found a 63 inch cargo cover on Facebook Marketplace for $80. In perfect condition and works perfectly. It’s a shade darker gray than my interior but I’m so happy. These shorter Tahoe cargo covers are hard to find and usually a lot more money. The longer 66 inch model for Suburban and Yukon XL are easier to find.

Does anyone know or remember if LT Tahoes back in 2001 came with the cargo cover as standard if you got third row seats? I am the second owner of my 2001 LT Tahoe and I know the first owner well. She swears she never got the cargo cover when she purchased the Tahoe. I know that the cargo cover doesn’t work with the third row in.

I'm almost positive the cover wasn't standard in any gmt800 Tahoe. If you wanted it, you had to order it. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. Nice find on the cover. Very hard to find. I actually have a spare, but it's light tan, and I have the pewter interior.

I tore down the hub and axle assembly’s on my Escalade. The PO thought the differential was going out. Hopefully my new hub and replacement cv boot gets here soon.

My Sonar LED tail lights started going out after 12 years. Bought Dorman factory stock 2004-2006 tail light housings and installed them on my Tahoe. Used LED 3157 bulbs for the turn, reverse, and brake lights. Really happy with how they turned out.

Today was rather expensive for me, and I work at a repair shop so I get parts at cost.

Front sway bar links (fell apart when removing front CV shafts)
Extended travel front CV shafts (hoping this fixes my binding issue in 4WD, I'm lifted 3")
Rear sway bar bushings and links (both were worn and rattling)
Turn signal/cruise/wiper switch (cruise deactivates when I use the turn signal)
4WD switch (damn buttons fell out of it and I lost them)

At the end of the month I'm getting my new tires installed and I'll have to trim my inner fender liners in the front so they don't rub. And shortly after that I'll be replacing the factory gear box and realigning it. The gear box makes a groaning noise and feels rough when turning left only and I have replaced every single other piece of the power steering system.

Am I the only one who didn't know they made these? Always thought I would have to go to the junkyard or aftermarket ones which cost too much money (for me)
Has anyone bought these?

If you don't mind me asking, what city are you in, and about how much is your painter charging you. Because here in Northwest Louisiana, most shops don't even wanna touch a full paint job, and the ones that ARE willing to to it, want between 7k and 11k to prep and paint it. I can only afford about 2500-3000 right now, and even if i could afford more, I couldn't see myself paying 7k for a paint job. But I'm not looking for show car quality either, but i would like at least "new car" quality.

I've seen them everywhere. Especially on Amazon and Ebay. You can get them with heated mirrors, turn signals, and even puddle lights and markers lights all built in. You might have to run wires for the marker lights or puddle lights though. Every 2003-2006 is "pre-wired" for the turn signals though, so that part should be plug and play.

"Paint Correction" is a thing, and typically runs about $3k-$4k. You could also do a wrap. Finally, you could get a cheap job (Maaco) that needs to be redone every few years for a few 100 dollars.

Do you have Maaco body and paint shops down there? $1800 for full paint job here in VA for 2000 Jeep Cherokee. Just got it back this week. I’m sure our Tahoe/Yukons would be slightly higher. Would I take a newer vehicle there for that price, probably not, but a 25 year old vehicle, it looks great. I wasn’t expecting show room or car show quality, but I was impressed. I removed roof rack, bumper caps, and door moldings and painted them myself and re-installed. Still deciding on whether to make it OEM like and order the Jeep and Cherokee Emblems. I’m considering taking my Yukon XL to them soon to repaint the roof where the clear coat is peeling bad.

My new hub finally showed up so I got the frontend back together. Now to find a good looking or at least decent looking set of wheels and get the bumper cover back on.

Those ARE aftermarket mirrors.
I should have worded that better, the last time I had seen aftermarket ones they cost $500+ and I wasn't paying that. I hadn't looked at them in years and now they are much more reasonably priced.

Anyone recommend one?

Wow thats crazy. I dont mind at all. Im in South Florida. Fort Lauderdale. I took it to a local guy, hes like a maaco but a little better. Hes been there 35years and does good work. I did the 2K Urethane paint job he offers. Entire tahoe sanded down and prepped and sprayed. I had to pay a little extra for him to take my roof and hood down to the bare metal cause of rust from the salt air and Florida sun. If I didnt have the rust and a few small dents he fixed it would have been a little cheaper. My cost tho out the door with all the extra parts I brought for him to color match was $2600. Came out just how I needed it to. Not gonna win any car shows, and isnt factory perfect, but it is one color again and my rusty roof is fixed. Also have a 3 year warranty on fading. I have all my pics up on the build thread in my sig below towards the end.

Man, that's CHEAP these days, especially for a complete repaint, AND taking the hood and roof down to bare metal. I wish I could find a deal like that around here, but I doubt i could find someone like that in this somewhat small town of under 100k people. In a much larger metro area like that, there's MUCH more competition, so shops are more likely to give better prices. I was considering going out to the Dallas/Fort Worth area since I'm only about a 3hr drive east of there, it's a pretty large metro area.

I bet if you go somewhere with a higher population you can find it cheaper. I know when I shopped around, the high end shops, which would have produced showroom quality triple clear coat jobs that looks like glass, quoted anywhere from lowest $4500 to highest $9500. But as with anything, youll get what you pay for. I just wanted mine back to being 1 color again. My roof was destroyed and the HD hood i bought came messed up. So now that its one color again, im content.

Replaced the fuel filter on my 2002 Yukon. Look at all that black crud I got off that old filter !!

Did you change it because you were having issues? Mine was so clogged, going uphill, or even a slight incline would make it stall from all the sediment that had accumulated in it.
