I sought out the longer filter when I did the first oil change on mine back in Nov. I used the AC Delco PF61e
You know that AC filter is same one for Cadillac Northstar 4.6 L V8 is that one for the 5.3L or 4.8 L . Now on to the next issue .. how many quarts to a oil change in 2006 5.3 L I put on bigger wix filter and put in 5 qts checked oil today it needs another quart to get to full line on dipstick . There no leaks is it 6 quarts to oil change and new filter ?

I would'nt be surprised if it took at least another half quart

Took a 4:am -oh **** I’m gonna miss my flight- trip in the Yukon this morning. Complete with a few fresh inches of snow, 15 degrees, to ice it all over nicely. The old girl got us there, and me home safely. Absolutely love how she does in the bad weather.

Pf59 vs pf61? IIRC anti drainback valve vs none.
I do not know the difference between the 59 and 61 without looking them up, but the 61 is a longer version of the EOM. The "E" should me anti-drain valve, but in a vertical oriented filter like on the 5.3L, its irrelevant. No oil will ever drain out.

Yup. We just made it to the airport. Took the toll road which was very well cleared. Then took main roads on my way home. Much slower since the roads were pretty icy.

In 2000, I was working at a race shop in Madison Wisconsin / in March !! I drove the semi- transport w/ 2 GT3 RS's in it, to Minneapolis for roll cage powdercoating. I drove smooth..... nice & easy...... I made it there fine...
It was my 1st time in those conditions......
snow & some ice all the way.... I was a nervous wreck !!!!

The "E" at the end of the part number? That's for "environmental". It's the newer design of ACDelco filters that are made of more environmentally-friendly components.

Your new Avi is freaking me out brah..

One word: Momo.

MINE is freaking YOU out?! Yours reminds me of one of the last visions I had after hearing banjos and being told to squeal like a pig. Then I blacked out.

In all srsnss, I really don't know why I chose that one. I know I was having a tinfoil hat moment, likely related to a discussion(s) on TYF.
