I want to do this swap. Have been eying it and have found a used bumper but out of price rance for now. Plus it's hard to find a silver birch denali.

I lucked out big time with mine. Found it on Craigslist, and it was in my color! Talked him down to $100 from $125. Had to drive 2 hrs for it but it was well worth it.I want to do this swap. That's cheaper than a new steel bumper. The one I found was on ebay. $300 which is ridiculous and it probably won't match.I lucked out big time with mine. Found it on Craigslist, and it was in my color! Talked him down to $100 from $125. Had to drive 2 hrs for it but it was well worth it.
Really wished I pulled the rear bumper from the Denali that was scrapped. Think a can of duplicolor would look good? If you can't find one in your color. That's cheaper than a new steel bumper. The one I found was on ebay. $300 which is ridiculous and it probably won't match.

I know a guy with a booth and will spray for free if I prep. Have some ideas in the works. But waiting to be able to afford it. Every time I plan to repair something on the Tahoe. My wife's car has sort of new issue every time. Right now it needs a new starter, I am picky and won't run anything besides oem.Really wished I pulled the rear bumper from the Denali that was scrapped. Think a can of duplicolor would look good? Blue FTW!

lolWas it expensive?Got my instrument cluster back from Circuit Board Medics. Now I can finally see my PRND321 display.
LOVING the green LEDs and the transmission temp gauge. Well worth the cost. Fast, too: I shipped it to them on Tuesday 7/12 and it was back at my house on Monday 7/19.

Was it expensive?
Anybody who wants this done, my guy does complete rebuilds & motors, gear/odo repair and leds of your choice for $125 shipped back to you. He also does All of the other illuminated switches for various fees. Anybody interested let me know, and I'll put you in touch.I guess it depends on your definition. Basic rebuilding of the gauge with all new lights and stepper motors is $150. $30 to add LED's in your choice of colors and another $100 to add the trans temp gauge. I paid for outbound shipping which came to $22. Return shipping is covered in their price, so my total out-of-pocket cost was $302.
Since I don't have the skills to do the stepper motors myself it was worth it to me. Someone with more skills, more time and less money could probably do it for under a hundred bucks.

I've had him do all of my leds (climate, speedo, headlight switch, steering wheel controls) and they are absolutely awesome.![]()

Nope Tennessee I believe. Usually a week turnaround time though if you ship it to him 2 day shipping. Is he in Denver also? If so I may ask him to do my other dash lights. I'm loving the green but I don't want to disassemble my dash piece by piece.
Nothing new.
But this should be a prime example on what not to do to your NBS today
