With strips or solder?
Wonder if there's a video of a strip install. The more I think abut it the more I wanna do color changing strips. If I take the time to tear it all apart I might as well go crazy with it. Just need the ac controls to match .
Strips. You just solder into one of the bulb locations and loop the strip through the whole cluster. I ordered RGB LEDs and a remote control off Amazon. Wired it the same way. Only thing was I had to drill a bigger hole inside to make room for the controller.

It's a little more time consuming to wire in the other stuff like the heater controls. You'd have to wire 3 wires from the cluster to the controls etc.

I went back to a solid color because I found myself playing with them too much haha

Theres something about them. Everyone seems to have a soft spot for them. I know several people who do not like american cars but the third gens. With the right mods they are quite capable in all forms of racing too! Im going to the road racing theme, but I dont know if it will ever be legal for racing when I'm done with it lol

Mine came with a bra on it and I found out the hard way why the bra was on it, the front fascias paint is trashed
3rd Gen love is all over this forum. Here's mine. Sitting for past 6 years but lately the itch to get her on the road again.

There's other companies, on Ebay, for less. I actually bought an esky cluster but to me, my Denali one looked better for my truck. The Esky one looked out of place, chrome with a white background is the only choice for '00-'02, so I just installed blue led's in my stock one and returned the esky one. At night was one thing, but in the daytime it didn't look right at all. There are more choices for the '03-'06 but the chrome gauge trim rings still kill it for me.

You can buy the faces and the bezels separate. That's what I did. You can change them out to any number of combinations with little effort

The '00-'02 models have a total of about 2 faces available. I even talked to the guy that owns digital dash solutions, the eBay seller that remanufactures them and he said there isn't enough interest to warrant tooling up to make different ones because the '00-'02 are not interchangeable with the '03-'06. I can get chrome gauge rings with either black or white background. Neither look right in a Denali.

Not really, my Denali cluster looks awesome. Sometimes the originali stuff looks better on a Denali! I don't like when things look out of place. There's certain mods that I don't like personally, like the Esky third brake light. But everybody gets to pick and choose which ones they like, which is what makes this so much fun.
