What color is your dipstick?

Just out of curiosity. Mine is kind of brownish. Did they start life stainless?

To get it going WAY left - if your dipstick is brownish, perhaps its being put in the wrong place!

To stay on topic, my dipstick is still stainless. I shower regularly, though.

Just remember that if you pull it out and it’s not wet, you need more lube.

I don't know about the rest of you but mine requires both hands to get it lined up and stuffed in there and I especially like the need to stick it in twice with a wipe off in between, to check the proper color and depth. It is very satisfying to do this procedure.

I feel your struggle. Putting it back in is definitely a two-handed task. It's so floppy and the hole is so small! Does it flap and drip everywhere when you pull it out? I have to slow down right before it comes all the way out, then grab it just behind the tip and turn it level so it doesn't drip everywhere.

Yellow .... With a hole you are supposed to stick your finger in so you can pull it out.

My dipstick’s been brown a time or two but it cleans right up. I’d be worried if it stayed brown though…might be putting it in the wrong hole too much.
