well. i blew up the motor lastnight in my tahoe. ready to do a 5.7 vortec build or try to scoop a motor out of the 454 ss trucks and toss that in. ill post a video of me blowing my motor. witch i really just tossed a rod. lol i was doing a burn out. i no stupid.

i no it would be sick. i want to do it but i dont want to deal with the motor monts and the computer. im probly ganna go back to the vortec but with some more. im probly just ganna build the compression up and make it headle more nitrous and boot up my nitrous from 100 to 150.

I thought about grabbing a 454 TBI too ... would be sweet. I joined performancetrucks.net and there are LOTS of guys doing LS swaps in stuff so I may end up going that way myself when the time comes.

The torque on the 454 is pretty sick, but you can build up a 5.7 for cheaper IMO and plus you have all the 5.7 shit. headers and TB shit, why not stick to it unless your going with a LS swap.

or buy a crate motor in the 5.7vortec series. theres some good ones out there, but most of them are around 3-6gs

I say drop a GMPP HT383E in there and roll with it!!! All you have to do is flash the computer to take advantage of the extra power available. Weekend job to R/R the 5.7L with the 383 - top end components swap over and voila!!! More TQ and HP without any visible differences (in case you're going for the sleeper look).

sorry guys about the vid. i got it on my phone and got it on the comp but dont no how to get it on here. im trying. it will be on soon. im ganna try to do it now. ill tell u a lil what happin. i was doing a lil burn out on vid. i herd it knock i lil b4 i did it but i just wanted to get it over with. so i did the burn out and at the end i was trying to stay in it but it just died on me. lol u can tell in the vid. btw im just doing a 355 now. i got my forged flat top pistons and forged rod in the mail today.
