Trying to add factory navigation to my non Bose 08 LT. This seems like a stupid question but I just have to get an amp to power the speakers right? Meaning it doesnt require a Bose amp? I think I found a unit for real cheap but it doesnt come with the GPS antenna or amp so I'm trying to decide how much more I need to spend to complete this? Am I missing any other parts?

You might wanna ask your dealer unless someone here without Bose added this. This would be helpful to get an answer as my dad wants one in his non-bose NNBS Sierra.

yes all you need is an amp to run the speakers. you will still be able to install the nav unit w/o an amp and still hear your radio but its not going to be loud. you will also lose your door chimes. low fuel warning and blinker sounds also you wont be able to hear the navigation talk to you until you get an amp. i did this mod to my 08 yukon and installed a little 1000 watt amp and it works perfect.

You can get really decent factory head units on eBay that people have pulled out of their vehicles to put in aftermarket stuff. Just be sure you don't get one of the look alike knock offs from Hong Kong.
