I'm trying to decide which master cylinder to order for my vehicle, but GMPARTS is saying there is one for 5 speed and one for 6 speed. Does anyone know how I find out which one I need? Thank you!!

Thank you! Do you happen to know what this sensor is?

Likely a low fluid indicator. Is there one on your rig?
Yeah, I forgot to put it back in when I removed and cleaned the reservoir, was trying to figure out if that had anything to do with the brakes being a bit different, however, no lights came on.

There is typically a float inside the reservoir that when gets low enough it triggers a signal sent out thru the wire to your dash.

By put it back in, are you saying you already have another master cylinder and the one you got did not have that plug in? The ones I sent you a pic of already have the plug in at the reservoir and all you do is plug the wire in.

I removed reservoir from master cylinder to clean it, I forgot to reinstall sensor.

That screenshot of parts are clutch hydraulics...not brakes.

Wow! I didn't see that. Good catch. I need to hold the OP feet to the fire about the description. We see way more, likely 50 to 1 questions about brake master cylinders.
