I say go for it.

Even if you don’t need the 4wd, it should keep it’s residual value up so you’ll get some of that difference back later.

I'd only do it if you needed 4x4. Otherwise, it's pretty much the same truck.

Ignoring 4wd, if I understand, you’re getting:
3 years newer
about 30k less miles
newer fluids
3.42 gear ratio
brake controller
rear auto-level
and lots of warranty

While it’s not a slam dunk, I still think its worth it. Sounds like its only a question of value, not whether or not you can afford it. Might even get better financing (tho you could prob do that with a refi anyway).

In my state the trade in value also is subtracted from the taxable value. Did you get a trade in appraisal from the selling dealer?

Thank you guys. Ripped off that chrome grille insert the dealer or whoever put on. So much better. Now I have a temporary Tahoe farm.

Congrats. I went from a 16 to a 17 to a 19. In this market, it looks like you are getting crazy money for your 16 that makes the 19 a good deal. Use it in good health.

As an aside, I think you will find most of the teething pains resolved in the 19 that GM was trying to resolve in the 16.
