It was me wiggling the engine, and twice I stopped and asked him if he was sure he got all the bolts. Oh yeah, for sure...
Third time was the charm.
On the bright side I was replacing thee tranny. On the down side I needed to swap the bell housing over.
A hundred miles and a hundred bucks later we were back to business.
I don't want to talk about the various other connectors he broke. I kept wondering how he was accomplishing the various tasks I assigned him so fast... my fault. I knew he was a half wit.

Outta all the bell housing bolts, I think that one is the hardest one to get to.
He got the nut of releasing the pipe hold down. Just didn't realize there was more to it.
I couldn't get my big mitts in there to do it.

Removing the intake manifold makes the job so much easier. Makes the upper bell housing bolts easy to get to, as well as to see what you're doing. You can also lower the tail shaft of the transmission further, without the intake hitting the firewall.

With the intake off it is easier but for me it was still a bi*** to get that bolt out.

Just about got everything but the bolt to do the timing gasket/seal replacement.

The torque spec for the bolt is a little weird.. Do you torque to 240 then install new bolt then torque to 37lb??
