I'm sorry to hear that Tony. I dread the day we lose our cat, Avy. She's 10 in June and like our child. I hope for many more years with her. Animals have such a big place in our hearts. I hope you get comfort knowing she's not suffering anymore. Again, I'm sorry to hear this.

This was one of the hardest things that I've ever had to do.

I'm not ashamed to say that I cried like a baby.

I feel for ya, Tony. I teared up reading your posts, and all I can say is that you gave her a good life while you were together. Nothing better than that. I know you'll miss her, but I hope you'll enjoy the memories and the pics you have. Tell the stories and know that you did right by one of God's creatures. He sends them here to love and cherish, and that's what you did.

Thanks @Fless. We really did love and cherish her--Immensly.
I was able to get this last reminder of my last doggie on that day. It was a year and half later when I got my current "best doggie ever".

Among all the other stuff I lost recently, this framed pic was the hardest.
I wish we would've thought of this. I just found a paw print on the floor from last night--her last night.

Trying to think of a way to capture this: Maybe spray it with hair spray then, quickly before it dries, lay Saran wrap on it, gently press it, then lift it off and lay it on a sheet of white poster board or just printer paper then frame it. Might wanna have your gf hold the other side of the Saran wrap to keep it flat and wrinkle-free as you both lower it onto the print. I don't know how well this would work or if it's even a concern, but it was a thought.

That picture of her collar was exactly how I feel--empty. She really was my best friend. Amazing how much you can love a dog, and they love you right back.

we lost this we girl to cancer 3 years ago. Ruby could say hello. Used to great with a big hello meow when I'd get home from work. Beautiful.

Her and Theo were like brother and sister. Has taken him ages to get over losing her. Reckon we're pretty lucky to have been able to have them in our lives.
