So.....the tuner called me--finally done. Makes 355 at the rear wheels. Not too bad. Bunch of little issues combined that made it a pita. I should be picking it up Thursday. For what they're charging it better run flawlessly.
Good luck bro.

Did they list what all they had to change in the tune? What injectors did you go with?

I didn't even get that far with them. I only talked to them over the phone. I will ask what they did change in the tune, and which injectors they installed. Gonna pick it up this Thursday.

Woulda thunk that'd be the first thing to ask after they said "welp, all done here".

I didn't want to keep them on the phone any longer then necessary--at that time. You know how some people like to rush you off the phone. I hate when businesses do that to me. Believe me, once I get there it'll be a different story.

So far its money well spent.
It's like a totally different truck. Even sounds different. Power is there when you need it, there's no surging of the idle--and no idle chop--which is fine with me. 20231012_170701.jpg
It was tuned using a Mustang dyno. Looks to be 345 rwhp and 355 tq. Not too bad.

I forget the name brand of the injectors, but they’re not oem. The injectors are 44 lbs--which is plenty for my application. I'm just really happy they were able to figure out all of its issues.
As for the tune, they had to start from scratch. They started with a baseline LQ9 tune, then tweaked it from there. Guy told me the tune was just "off". It also was tuned using Speed Density--it's a maf system.

why in the world would anyone run a SD tune on a NA set up. thats ohhh so much more work and sooo much harder to make right. SD/VE tuning is really for boosted set ups that will out flow the maf's capability's.

really seems like the first tuner found a tune and slapped it in there and didnt give a *** if it was right or not.

did they figure out why the obd2 port would work on and off?

Agreed, 1st tuner was a moron.
This tuner had to disconnect my Pioneer DD radio. After doing that the tune downloaded with no issues. I asked why he didn't just take the fuse out. He said he wasn't sure if it was wired correctly and it was just easier to unplug the complete radio. Idk, but it worked out for him.
