Ok, got a confirmation on the 05. Guy ran a carfax and it came back with 200,000+ miles on it. So that's a no. On the 03, came out of a Sierra 2500. Confirmed 91,000 miles. Firm on the $825. No accessories--alt, ac compressor etc. Anyone know if the years 03 motors are comparable with the 05's? Concerning any internal updates from gm. Any year better then the other?

if the vin code matches it should be fine that basically how it goes

so i braved the bitter cold and took a walk to the shop. says 500 ish, plus tax im sure for straight up swap, 800 with the cam and springs push rods swapped over.

i gotta say i was hoping for 500 range but pleasantly surprised he said 500.

from that link you can see just how full his lot is. its like that 24/7. hes got more lot space at the strip mall next door too. where he parks repaired cars for pick up. theres only so many real garages around here, of them all, hes got the most traffic hands down.
