The rear takes bumps HARD !

Well I got a kit from tony I have bell tech springs front and back mcaughey 2"drop spindles end links shock extenders shocks forgot what kind and the amount of drop , memory is shot after a hospital stay can only remember random shit , any who what can I do to make the ride smoother in the rear because when I hit a bump front takes it like a Cadillac but the rear hits it like a chevette hits a 8"deep foot wide pot hole

I also did free travel mod and got different bump stops from him also

my understanding when dealing with a lowered suspension yer ride is going to be a bit stiffer

Yeah I can deal with stiffer rear but I hear others talk like their trucks float on clouds lol

I have tonys rear3" drop springs with the free travel mod, shocks are rancho5000 stock length with shock extender brackets and im quite happy with the ride

Also depends on the tires. If you go to something like the 26's I went with, there is less sidewall so the ride is hard. Lowering will sacrifice ride quality no matter what.

Mine did that before the free travel mod and still a tad bit after the mod. I installed helper bags, run them at 5psi and it's back to smooth as butter. That's with a 5" rear drop.

My shit feels like kidney punches when I hit a big bump right now I have 24" Giovanna rims with 305/35/24 trying to alleviate the problem had 26"before on 295/30/26

I disabled auto ride from what I remember , I have springs ,shocks , shock extenders , end links , bump stops, free tavel mod

What ever else came with kit then later I bought the 2" drop spindles for the front

I rebuilt my autoride with Arnott stuff and it rides good considering the 26's. I avoid potholes anyway to protect my rims since there isn't much sidewall. Maybe Tony can advise you on a fix with that disabled. I'm running a 2/3 drop with spindles, Belltech springs, DJM shock extenders and end links and the Arnott shocks and compressor with shortened ride height sensors. It works real well for towing too.

I just used some threaded rod and replaced the rods that connect the plastic ball joints. That way you can experiment since with autoride, the ride height sensors determine the final drop. I did find out that the new links being sold now don't have threaded rod but instead are molded into the plastic ends. I got some for extras and figure I'll have to epoxy the rods in if I need them. I suppose the old style is available at junk yards.
