Hey Tony! Yeah I thought about that but was like that's going to be problems haha! I think I'm going to have to go that route though because the only all clears I have found, I'd have to buy them in a full set with the headlights which I don't need. Never baked them, but there is enough info on here to get it done though! Thanks for the suggestion bro!!
Please post up some pics when you figure out the process. Plenty of guys on here have done it. Hopefully some will chime in to give you some pointers.

Good luck. Any problems just hit us up.
Thanks Bro! I know I will be hitting you guys up most definitely!! Like I said, first time doing the "bake" mod, so I'm sure it will be a learning process. I probably should have ordered 2 sets of lights to be on the safe side!!! :whymewhyme: We'll see what we get tho!

From reading here--I do know guts usually run their stove on low, somewhere around 225F, and put the lights on a cookie sheet. As for time I'm not positive--BUT--It's in the neighborhood of maybe 45 mins. Keep an eye on them, checking occassionally, seeing if you can pry them apart with a putty knife, or something similar. One member melted his.

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of so I will be posted in the kitchen by the oven checking frequently so that doesn't happen! Then i'm hoping removing the reflector doesn't make it ugly but I wont know till I get in there. Thanks for the temps and the time tho, wish they could have came by this weekend so I had more time to work on them. :nono:

Ok @Tonyrodz, corner lights showed up early ....check the pics and tell me if it's worth baking and trying to remove the amber reflector. If i try to take it out is it worth it, or will it ruin the housing? What if I just don't put a light in that corner where the reflector is?

@Rocket Man @05Single @Thatsquishykid717.What do you think guys?
My answer is always remove any trace of amber. It won’t ruin the housing, it will just be missing it. Just depends on what the owner likes. I will say this tho, not having an amber reflector is illegal in all 50 states, same with not having a side marker. But I’ve never been harassed for it in 20 years of amberless driving. Every vehicle Ive ever owner I removed the amber. But I’ve never lived in states with those strict vehicle yearly inspections.

@05Single Yeah bro I am the same..."ANTI-AMBER"!! Alright I'm going to give it a go and attempt to remove of it!! @Tonyrodz @Thatsquishykid717 @05Single any pointers before I get started? Don't want to melt the lights or ruin them. What's the best product to use to reseal them? Appreciate it guys!!
Never go above 250 for more than 10 minutes. Lots of videos on YouTube . I use a butter knife and several flat head screwdrivers for prying . Be patient, don’t expect much movement first time around out of the oven. Start on the outside. Use gloves . I use retrorubber . But I’ve used interior/exterior sealant from Home Depot . Black for black and grey for yours because they’re chrome

Also you can push the amber out and just open the corner of the light just enough to slide the amber reflector out then close it back up and put it the over reusing the same sealant. No need to open them all the way up if you’re not gonna do stuff like paint or strips etc

I agree with @05Single he is a little more ballsy than I am though I just always bake my lights at 170° for 7-10 min at a time. I always use morimoto retro rubber. Used the Home Depot stuff before but didn’t have the best luck with it. I did get lucky with a set of corner lights before I was able to get the amber reflector loose, get some small side cutters in the 194 hole, and cut the amber reflector into small enough pieces for it to fall out. Only tried that on one set though but it worked pretty good

Anyone know a good brand for (black) project headlights for a 2002 Tahoe? There are loads of brands (depo, lumen, ipwc, spyder, anzo etc), but who makes a quality product? I dont mind spending a few $$$. Thank you!

Alright guys, I did the DRL delete by replacing the DRL socket with another turn signal socket and used LED switchbacks. My drivers side won't flash with the turn signal, but the passenger side is good. The drivers side will flash with the hazards though....rewired that side in case I had a bad solder joint and still nothing...any ideas?

I think the Depot's would be a good choice!!
