The tabs on my passenger side taillight assembly broke off. Replacement options are assembly shell and reuse existing bulbs / sockets. TYC makes a replacement (Rock Auto part TYC 11535300) with Halogen bulbs and sockets already installed. Cost is only $14 more than the shell. Sounds like no brainer given the existing socket hardware is 22 years old and likely to break as well. Was going to replace driver's side assembly as well so they match. Any experience with TYC? "Shell" option is RA part EAGLE EYES GM314U000R

I can't speak to the TYC lamp assemblies. I do have a TYC 7&9 blade (2011+) e-fan module installed in my '02 Z71. Good quality and works great.
