I am going to be doing this mod soon. I ordered up everything but I just had a quick question. What is the new 3 wire socket replacing the factory DRL socket? If so, doesn't the factory socket have 3 wires also??

To my knowledge, the stock socket does not have the third wire which is why you need the new one with 3 wires.

In your pic it looks like 3 wire... but after looking closer, I can see 2 are ground wires.

Also, does the front bumper have to come off to do this?

I was able to remove the headlights without removing the bumper, the key is to loosen the bolt under the bumper that holds the headlight to the frame.

One last question. What will the lights do when the headlights are on? Will the amber lights stay on when the head lights are on like it factory does?

Amber only comes on when using the blinker, other than that they are always on the white color.

Yours was my inspiration to figure this out. The only difference is that I have both bulbs functioning as DRL/Parking/Signal lights. I wanted to now make the signals sequential like yours while retaining the other functions.

It should work as expected the way you show it wired in the diagram.

Looks awesome.... I need to redo mine. The switchbacks I have flash Amber/White/Amber/White.

I bought new switchbacks that flash Amber/Off/Amber/Off but when I went to put them in they wouldn't cycle to Amber from White with the sequential modules I have because the sequence is too fast I guess.

I have an extra set of the better modules that I plan on using to slow the sequence down enough for the new bulbs to function.

Out of curiosity what bulbs and modules did you use?
