Came home to my rear glass "open" was only held on by the lift struts lol. Lucky it hadn't rained yet. One hinge was broken, I guess the other had been hanging on by a thread and gave way while I was at work. $200 for replacement at the junk yard. Stupid easy.

lol, I've had that happen before, and no the ignition doesn't give you any warning it just decides to not start for 10 minutes at the totally random wrong time like when your already going to be late for some good *******

How did you align the holes to the pins to slide the glass back in? I can get one side to align with no problem but as you know they both must be align to slide the glass back in.

HOLY GUACAMOLE!! $200 for a junkyard replacement?!?! That’s CRAZY! I’ve bought two Escalade rear hatches from junkyards now in the last couple years. the second one being the newer trim less type, and didn’t pay anywhere near that much for both! You must have an expensive ass junkyard.... lol. Glad you caught it and were able to get a replacement though! Especially before a big storm! That could have sucked.....

I can get that glass at my local yards for $60. What did you glue it with? Once they let go once, sometimes the re-glue job doesn’t last long. Iirc there’s only one or 2 products that work good.
