Howdy,

Still considering that L96 6.0L swap but I've noticed that the Hollander crossref for the L96 doesn't show the SUV and the Trucks/Vans crossing. Anyone know the difference and if it matters if you're going 5.3L to 6.0L so have an engine to swap bits over between?

Thanks

The difference might be flex fuel vs not. The L96 is supposed to be a flex fuel engine but the one in my 2018 Suburban 3500 is not.

The other issue is that the L96 was technically never offered on the SUV chassis (1/2 ton). Geo and I have the 3500 Subs that ride on a modified GMT8/900 3/4 ton suburban chassis.
That is likely the reason it does not cross reference but I believe based on what we all know about LS/LT engines is that they bolt in just fine.

True on the GMT900 1500's but they did on the 2500's which was my search point.

However, now I feel dumb, it's not Hollander that doesn't show the cross reference, its some other interchange site that doesn't and I mislead myself overall. Hollander does show them as interchanging between truck, van, and SUV for both the L96 and LY6 6.0s.
