Hello

I recently purchased a the suspension Maxx leveling kit. I followed instruction procedure. I disconnected the upper arm ball joint and lower ball joint for extra slack . I used a 5 feet pipe pry bar and couldn’t even insert the 1.5 spacer. I wonder what I’m doing wrong?

No it’s not the z71, it’s basically the z85 suspension with autotrac 2 speed

I watched numerous videos on Silverado's pick up who share the same frame and all of them disconnect the outer tie rod which I didn’t do. Looks a bit easier. I’ll try again. I’m only lifting the front for now 2.5 and I’ll lift the back 1.5 with the shock extension for the air suspension. I’ll take pics during the installation.

P.s In the suspension Maxx installation video I noticed that he didn’t do the 2.5 lift I think 1.75 inch and there’s a gap better the before and after installation of the 1.5 spacer.

here’s a pic of the option on the window sticker, sorry for the FRENCH!

Ok I finally managed to install the suspension max 2.5 front leveling. Let me tell you, no way in HELL would anyone be able to install that by themselves ALONE. NO WAY! It was hell trying to pry down the upper ball joint but me and buddy (both mechanics) managed to do it. I wanted to take picks but time wasn’t on our side as the dealership was closing at 8 p.m for some odd reason. Now I’m going to level out the rear with the 1.5 spacer with shock retention from suspensionmaxx. I’ll bring in the shop tomorrow to do a alignment.

Here’s the complete 2.5 inch front, 1.5 rear spacer set up with 1.5 shock extension.

I took pics of the ball joint but it’s on my other tablet. I’ll upload it tomorrow. Now I need to do a alignment.

I did a small half hour road test. Everything is fine, rides just like stock.

thank you...the height is what i am looking for, but this does indeed tell ME, that i want replacement upper arms.

i do recall on my 2011 Tahoe, after level and alignment, the steering feel was slightly tarty until i did upper arms.
