Sometimes, when i go to start the car, it clicks once and thats it. I turn the key back and try to start it again, and it will start. I checked the starter cable to the positive terminal (took it off and retightened) and its good, tight, and clean. Voltage looks good too at the battery when i tested it. Is this an indication that the starter needs to be replaced?

Thanks

I would have the battery load tested, if it passes, I would then look at the starter solenoid.

Keep in mind you will most likely have to drop the whole starter assembly to just replace the solenoid. Frustrating if it still clicks...

If you decide to get a new starter I have a powermaster hi torque mini starter I took off my old motor before I went to the ls2. I only used it for 3k miles. I'll give you a good deal on it. If you're interested that is.
