Gents,

Good evening from PA! Finally got around to registering after perusing the knowledge and wisdom on these pages over the last number of months. Had Silverado work trucks for years and just got an '08 Denali earlier this year to replace our (totaled) Lexus people mover. Love the extra room, 22" rims, and power. Interior in great shape, a little rust here and there. Overall tons of potential, but with ~235k mi., she needed some TLC.

So far, I've replaced the following:

- new front Timken bearing / hubs
- new GSP front axles
- new Denso O2 sensors, both upstream and downstream
- new ACDelco iridium plugs & ACDelco wires
- new ACDelco air filter
- new ACDelco serpentine belt, belt tensioner, AC belt & tensioner, idler pulley
- new GM Genuine updated left valve cover (PN: 12570427) & gasket
- new PCV hose
- new GM Genuine oil pan & gasket
- new GM Genuine front differential mount brackets
- new remanufactured front diff from ReRun Remans (https://rerunremans.com/) (seems like great unit for incredible price, avail. on eBay)
- new Fel-Pro oil pump pickup tube O-ring
- new GM oil cooler gasket
- new rear diff gasket
- new 285/45/22 Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail ATs

Next on the to-do list will be Z55 struts, shocks, strut mounts, compressor, etc. Can't wait to get to the wish list to make her faster, but one thing at a time.

Grateful for all the resources and experience available on this Forum.

Cheers,

Rob

Welcome to the Forum from NH, and thank you for becoming a participating member.

Lots of knowledgeable folks here who freely share their knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. Knowledge is power.

I hope that you will become a participating member in the Forum's discussions.

More pics of the truck, please.

Change out ALL of you heating and cooling hoses, including the main radiator hoses and hoses connected to the coolant overflow tank in the engine bay, as they become brittle over time from the engine heat and may rupture. If this happens, you will most likely be somewhere where help is not close by. I was fortunate that when one of my hoses ruptured, I very close to home, as the coolant empties out extremely fast.

My pleasure, Joseph, and many thanks for the warm welcome. The knowledge and experience here are next level & humbling, to say the least. Most if not all repairs I listed above came from the insights shared on these pages. Spot-on and invaluable!

I will most definitely be weighing in and asking questions throughout the various threads on this Forum. Knowledge is definitely power.

I appreciate the tip on the cooling system! I'll take a closer look at all the hoses ASAP. Had a small leak and low coolant when I first picked her up, but added coolant and a bottle of K-Seal at the recommendation of my mechanic, and she has been tight and fart-free for months now. You're lucky you were so close to home when yours blew.
