If they baseline at 230, so they are saying 100+HP in gains is legit for a cam, shorties (which don't do much) and minor head work? Those numbers are pretty close to blower gains.

An 07+ 6.0L stock makes 275RWHP, so yes, 340RWHP on that engine is possible, but still stretching the limits.

ive got a question about a cam to. what would be a good cam. i dont drive my tahoe very much on weekends and when im off of work for a little bit. id like to get good number out of it and mpg isnt a big concern since i already get about 15 and my old tahoe got 12. Im kind of modding this so i can beat a buddy with a hopped up bronco we both got our vehicals at the same time and we were dead even now hes got alot of new ponies so i dont wana get beat by a ford. i dont ever plan on putting a turbo or sc so if that helps.

You can do headers for cheaper than $1400, I think Stainless Works sells on eBay for decent prices. I would do cam and headers at the same time.

Dynatechs are great headers, and would be one of the few at the top of the bunch. There are tons of brands out there, just depends on what you want to spend.

They would be the same for a truck/Tahoe, just make sure they are for the same engine family.

Wes,
I wanted to make sure on year of truck, since it was piggybacked on someone elses original post.
Jenna has made some excellent post regarding this.
if you want more lowend, 4.10 or 4.30s would do it, and LPP makes soem LT and ORY headers for under $500 that are stainless, and 1 3/4" primaries, 3" collector.
Then, a tune would really wake it up.

yea im thinking the LPP headers. what are the ORY headers i googled it and couldnt find anything. and im thinking i want to do a cam as well. Ive read a little about it and ive heard the 112lsa has a good sound to it which i would like but i want to get decent power out of it to. the 114lsa would get a better curve? also when you do a cam do you have to replace all the parts like the spring rods and all that?

ORY is off road Y pipe, taking from header collectors, to the stock 3" pipe. It takes out the stock cats.
Cam, if you change it, I would get hardened pushrods and yes, new springs.

Not really 0-60, mostly just daily driving. There is a 7-8 week wait list for a cable tune, if you are wanting to go that route you might want to look into the AutoCal. Shoot [email protected] to get in the queue.

ok well i usually i drive it pretty hard since i dont drive it to work and its just the weekend ride but when i emailed justin he said they would need crusing, moderate acceleration, and full throttle acceleration. so i shouldnt really do that with the cam in then?
