I noticed alot of us want to and have blacked out our chrome.I already got a quote to do mine, but I was wondering if a better route is an oem, already painted, RST grill? Anyone looked into this, maybe part number available?

If no one posts a part number, find an RST with a simple cars.com search, capture the VIN number and call your local GM dealer, then maybe post it up.

Let us know what you find out!
Surely being an 'OEM' part it will be overpriced?

I am sure it won't be cheap, but if its in the price range of wrapping a grill, its a nice option to have. I will try and make some calls this week.

$419. I just did it. You can find it cheaper online, but wasn’t worth it to me to deal with a hassle if something was wrong.

Here is my 2015...

Wow Pittz, that looks great and a fantastic price!
Assume that is just color matched to your white car and I could purchase a black one?
Did the dealer install it or did you do it yourself?

You don't happen to have a parts number do you?

Neighbours kid swiped my wife’s bumper, so I took this as a good time to upgrade. Body shop put it on, as well as color matched the eyebrows above the headlights.

This is the part number that was given to me, not sure if black would differ. The parts guy did exactly what was stated before, he looked up a new RST vin and ran it.

3-400 is not to bad, not much of a benefit over a wrap at the point though,I suppose.

That's actually surprisingly reasonable. They're going to sell a lot of them.

Very reasonable indeed!
Will check to see how much I can get it wrapped first then go from there.

Thanks for the part numbers.

You’re kidding right?? The OEM grill matches your paint, and has painted black insterts. Not to mention it’s $200-$400 for wrap that could potentially peel. I’ll opt for the OEM look.

No down time, if you choose to follow the YouTube video on grille removal.

I was told by two vinyl wrap places that it would eventually peel. The inserts painted black were the selling point for me. You can’t really see it in the picture, but sure does beat that faded plastic look.

Just curious how they matched the eyebrows? Wrap or sprayed or what. Do you know if those are separate pieces or are they part of the light assembly? Might be able to buy them from the RST truck also?

Just ran across these other colors part # while I was searching prices on the white one
84245981 - Summit White
84245982 - Black
84245983 - Silver
84245984 - Iridium Metallic
All had same descriptions and same prices and pretty sure these are the only colors for the RST trucks?

I agree. There are alot of tight turns to wrap. Had mine done 3 months ago and although they did a good job I can see some areas starting to lift now. The guy told be it would eventually peel. I paid $250 for the wrap including light eyebrows.
