Today I had an exhaust shop weld on my new Corsa-style exhaust tip. They had to cut part of my pipe off and bend a new pipe to make it fit right. The cheap slip-on I installed myself had seen better days and this double outlet one looks way better. Plus I had them tuck it up closer to the body.

Exactly. I have zero chrome on my truck anymore. Well, with the exception that my winter wheels have chrome center caps but that's only temporary! I can't wait to put my Dubs back on but the city has only filled about half the potholes caused by ****** maintenance and a harsher than normal winter. A couple more weeks is what I keep telling myself. One bent rim a year is more than enough.

Ordered a set of Spohn boxed lower rear control arms to help eliminate any possible wheel hop. These should look sweet too, they'll be visible through my Dubs lol. Ordered new Moog rear uppers too so all the bushings will be new.

I reinstalled my 26's the other day and remembered I had a new front air dam ready to go since my other one got chewed up this winter. With my 17" winter rims on, my truck was too low to the ground to clear the air dam and it kept hitting every time I hit a dip in the road or went into a driveway. This time I decided to see if I could do anything different as far as mounting it in order to get the ends to line up with the fender wells. It always bothered me that it looked like it was too short on the ends. I've heard of others using 2 air dams and cutting and patching them together to make a longer one. On my Denali, there's an area where the curve or shape isn't right and the air dam doesn't follow the compound curve of the bumper. I just decided to bridge this area and pull the ends out further. It leaves a gap where it leaves the bumper but it's only visible from the bottom. Here's a pic of the way the old one looked at the end and one of how it looks now.

Here's some shots from underneath and from the front. It lines up in the middle portion like before, it just doesn't line up where the Denali bumper curves out towards the outer ends. I like the way it is now, I think it looks like it fits better.

Nice work. My lip is a little short too. I'll tighten it up when I put on the new valance I got after paint. Then toss the old one cause the previous owner had a 3" hole drilled through the valance for a trailer plug and brakes when towing behind his land yacht.

I'm not clear on how you did this... Did you blend the ends on. If so, how'd you do it. I see the seam in the back, but not the front?

I didn't cut and splice 2 air dams together, I made a single one work by mounting it differently. With the first one, I let it follow the part where the bumper curves out a little more which made it short on the ends, which is how I've seen others do it. Basically, if you put it up there and push it all the way back onto the lip that's on the bottom of the bumper, it will end up 1/2"- 3/4" short on the ends. It also makes the curves at the ends not fit and you'll fight that too. I decided to let it bridge a gap in the curve of the bumper by pulling it to the ends and clamping it in place while I installed some hardware. You'll be surprised to know how much of a gap there is underneath, but the only way to see it is when it's up on a lift. Here's some shots progressively going to a lower viewing angle. Still can't see the gap, right?

Here's the gap. Surprised, right? That's why I didn't think it would work. I mean. This air dam isn't supposed to fit the NBS anyway. I think it looks right like I did it.

That's what I thought. Just pulled it back a little. Lining up the edge but making it slightly off on the curves, which nobody would ever notice unless you're at a low enough eye level like with a mouse.

Cut to shape a think piece of abs to use as a bracket from the lip to the bumper cover amd fill in that gap. Or a metal or aluminum.
