Looks good though and I see that besides AN fittings there’s spring clamps I’m assuming for the check valves and css so I’m a bit disappointed there too. I might have to find an AN fitting for the css. I can’t on the check valves since the barbed fittings are part of the valve. At least they’re not screw clamps. ;)

The plastic chrome edges on the ‘15 style fobs bothered me so I ordered all black housings off EBay for about $8 each and was pleasantly surprised that those edge parts are metal on these. Plus no logo on the back. Plus did I say NOT chrome lol.

Can you add oem remote start and have it work with those fobs?
There was no option for remote start for 02. I’m pretty sure that started in 07 for the SUV’s. I bought the same fob except with remote start for my 08 Silverado though.

Installed the catch can today. I can’t find instructions for my application on the clean side separator so I’m waiting to hear from Elite on that. First here’s some shots of the can’s insides and hardware. It’s what they call a 3 chamber design- the first is the middle upper where the gases enter and that’s where the stainless steel scrubber is. Then the oil drops down into the lower main chamber where it stays. The third chamber is to the upper outer around the first chamber. That’s where the mostly clean air goes for a final chance to rid contaminants before exiting to the intake manifold or CAI.

The main chamber is huge and it has a 1/4 -turn valve on the bottom so it’s super easy to drain. No turning and turning on those knurled valves. The mounting hardware is all billet- the main clamp and the bracket itself. Bolts appear to be high quality.

One of the main reasons I went with this catch can was it’s dual outputs. With a FI engine, you lose vacuum under boost and the can stops functioning even if you install a check valve. Under boost the vacuum becomes boost and most cans even with a check valve just stop working. I’m not sure but it seems that without a check valve the can could become pressurized under boost. This design has a second output which hooks to the CAI with a check valve so whichever output has the most vacuum gets the cleaned air. If you don’t have a vacuum source the cans don't work and this design makes sure the can functions at all times. My CAI had come from Whipple and had a plug in the tube where I wanted to hook up an output. The hole was too big so I bought an adapter from Ace and hooked it up. The back of the Whipple intake had a quick connect and that’s where the other output went. The intake went to the DS valve cover PCV connection. I mounted the can in a great spot where it’s visible and it’s easy to access the drain. It came with optional braided line and I used heat shrink where I cut it and installed the spring clamps or AN fittings.
