So i bought this 2012 tahoe ppv with 61,000 miles and 6,795hrs for $2k.
Clean carfax report.
Question is if the mileage and hours sound average, high or low for its age. I dont know about the engine hours thing and was curious after installing a DIC

That PPV did FAR more idling than going. Here's one guess: mostly sat idle waiting for someone who wasn't using Waze to speed past it before it got driven.
Another guess: driven in lots of stop'n'go traffic. In Manhattan my average speed gets under 10MpH QUICK, and I can easily idle 8 hrs in a 12hr day.

Don't forget that the two most dramatic things you can do to make this PPV quicker are
a 6.0L V8 (any L76t / LY6 / L96 / LC8 will be fine, although an L77 will have quicker throttle response, they all make similar power and torque)
3.73 or 4.10 axle (even PPVs are subject to CAFE MpG targets which force GM to choose an inferior axle)

For the best bang for the buck, get the ecm & tcm tuned; if you think it's quick now, you'll wonder why GM was holding back so much.

Seems a little better than average to me. Plenty have double the hours I think?

To be fair, one can never be quite sure that the idle hours haven't simply been reset at least more than once, which would make that measurement far less useful.
There are enough PPVs out there that have average lifetime speeds over 40MpH, which is either highly desirable, or implying that idle hours have been reset.

Still, point is that an average speed in the double digits at least implies that the vehicle spent less time sitting and more time being driven.
