This is what I'm considering if my builder doesn't find a better solution
If I do a metal building, I want I-beam construction. Looks like I can be in one of these for under 200 including installation, slab, insulation, doors, etc. 30x60 shown. Still going for 40x80 with a porch
Also, I'm taking donations. My OF hasn't really paid off. @iamdub stopped subscribing

Little update.
We got the septic permit today, so thats all squared away. Waiting on the tank approval. Since its a commercial tank, I'm having to write a letter explaining why its better...
Spoke with a steel building contractor, quick and dirty estimate would be under $200k installed for the "red iron" style building. Obviously I'm waiting to see what my builder comes back with before I waste anyones time, but if I have a choice between wooden pole barn and a steel building, I'm going with the steel.

Ah, I can't do that. It's the head of "Environmental" for the entire state. They're letting me use it, I just have to answer "why" certain things are the way they are. like, "why is there not a concrete lid with a #3 rebar handle cast-in?" Because it has a cast-iron frame and cover. Simple things like that, that they aren't used to seeing on the residential side.
I've been emailing from work email and will send my letter on a company letterhead so they are aware that I'll be building this. Surprisingly, they have been extremely accommodating throughout the whole thing.

But only if you also have a 5 hp Commercial garbage deposal, dead hookers don't grind themselves up.
