Power? Wire under hood near fuse box

I'm getting the front ready with relocating/extending wires etc so I can get the fenders cut. Does anybody know what this power wire is for. It runs with the loom that goes into the fuse box under the hood and was taped up within the loom. I'm assuming its for an option I do not have on my Tahoe but my curiosity has the best of me and now I need to know what it is.

Doesn't look stock. Have you tested to see if it's dead, constant hot, or acc? Looks like something attached to an aftermarket accessory to me. Maybe an alarm or similar.

That is the power feed for an optional electric brake controller. You will see another one on the wire harness that runs down and to the rear, that one is for the 12v+ at the 7-way trailer light plug.

Thanks for the quick answer, figured it was something I wouldnt ever need. The hitch has been removed and wiring all tucked away. I was going to say it couldnt have been anything aftermarket, truck was bought new but I know alot of vehicles have extra connections or plugs so they dont have to make seperate harnesses for everything. I do have 2 plugs in the rear interior that I'm curious as to what they are for as well. I'll take some pics of that when I get back out to the shop tomorrow. Thanks again.
