i'd love to leave but most likely would be unable to have the same resources I have here and nobody is going to pay me a living wage

I'm surprised the wage you're getting in California lets you live. What are you paying these days -- 70% in various taxes, fees, and other requirements for the privilege of being a Californian? Or am I a little low?

One of my nieces lives just north of San Francisco.... She is an elementary public school teacher.
Her required salary is over $125,000.00 a year. If they didn't pay that salary, she couldn't afford to live there.
I can guess her weekly income tax is around $300.00 ... AT LEAST !!

I don't know but there is no where else like where I live as far as opportunity i've searched and searched
my skills are probably not economically viable anywhere else or I would have to take a hard hit as far as income.
living paycheck to paycheck sucks, I would need two full time jobs just to get by, even if the cost of living was slightly lower
