Got my Hoe back in January. I've personally never been a fan of chrome, so I've been doing a little bit of PlastiDipping on her. What do you all think?

I've always said your color looks good blacked out... but you need to do more... all the chrome, grille, running boards, etc.

Looks good but IMHO i would get a small "bowtie" decal for the center cap. It breaks it up and right now they look like repro's.

Heres the look of blacked out. My wifes '09

Sorry fellas, I must not have subscribed. Beefhouse, I left them on. Shrek, I was looking for the bowtie decals on ebay/amazon, I can't seem to find them. All I find is the ones that go over the bowtie on the steering wheel. Any suggestions?

I've seen those vids on Youtube where the dipmycar.com guy sprays the wheels on a car while just covering the brakes with some plastic. Is that what you did? In the photos they look good, but are there any runs? Uneven spots?

I just bought a set of the 20's and was thinking of doing the same thing. Same color Tahoe actually. I like it, looks good and now confirmed it's worth my time.

Beefhouse, I did exactly that. I just got some plastic bags and made sure the calipers and rotors were covered. I didn't bother covering the tires either. This PlastiDip stuff is quite user friendly. It's very hard to get it to run on you. I used their regular flat black which actually gives it a sort of a textured look. Joshin33, Thanks for the compliment. What kind of wheels did you buy? You guys let me know if you want some close ups of it. In the mean time let me figure out how to subscribe to this thread because I'm not getting any notifications. I also need to order the Chevy Bow Tie decals for my wheels. Haven't decided on the color yet. Was thinking maybe red to compliment the "Z71" badge, but the wife shot that idea down quick!! lol

Just the stock LTZ 20s. Same as you have but I originally had the LT 17s.

I'd like some closer photos if you get a chance. I thinking of doing the same on my Tahoe, except in a gunmetal. Thanks!

Here's a closeup so that you can see that it's slightly textured. Hope this helps.
