What do you think? New tires, wheels, etc.

I want to customize my '26 LT. I was thinking new tires and wheels. I'll also tint the front (driver/passenger) windows. Things I want opinions on:

- Would you delete all of the chrome? Or some of it? I mean, I don't want to pretend like it's a Premier or High Country. However I like the idea of it being mostly red and black. Would you leave any of the chrome as an accent? Inside there is a little chrome too, so I want the whole vehicle to make sense, interior and exterior.
- I'd like bigger tires, but what size? These are 275/60/R20 115. I'm open to a lift to give a little more space and I like the look. I don't want bigger wheels. 20 is plenty. I'm even open to 18.

Ideas appreciated. Thanks.

Congrats on the new truck! But why do it such a disservice by cutting the front end of in that lousy pic? Cmon now.

All of your questions are personal-taste questions -- except for the larger tires question. You'll want to sniff all around the "Lifted" section and see what size tires fit with no lift and a small lift.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of blacking out the chrome without going with black wheels, too. But, whatever you do or don't do, getting the front windows tinted to match the rear windows will immediately improve the look of the truck.

Keep us posted on what you're thinking about doing. Enjoy!

Truck looks great!
Wheels and tires look good but as the previous poster said they might look better in black, especially if you do the black out parts.
Those wheels could be powder coated for a lot less than new wheels.

For my customizing my Tahoe I went with illuminated door sills and the illuminated front bow tie which comes with the black rear bow tie emblem.

I also went with the custom pedal kit from the Chevy online site.
They usually have monthly specials that range from 10-20% off and certain parts go on sale.
I recently bought the Brembo performance brake package with the “Winter Special” discount running now.
Think it was 15% off and I got another coupon applied for GM points for service.
Those red Brembos would look awesome on your truck!

Nice acquisition. I'm not much into the 'looks' mods, as I prefer to put my money into performance and usability mods. But, to each, their own. That's the definition of freedom, after all.

Regarding tires, I recommend that you consider the 305/50x20 tire size, as I'm fairly certain that they will fit your truck with no lift or other wheel well mods (they work on my 07).

You might be right about this, but I think that the wheel offsets and other components' aspects are too different between your truck and his to compare them directly. I think he's going to have to check with other '21+ owners to be sure what fits.

Yes, it is always good to get feedback from someone who has actually done it on a similar year model.

But, the wheel offsets are not too much different;

2007 Yukon XL Denali - +31mm
2026 Tahoe LT with 20" wheels - +28mm

That’s going to be a nice build. Personally, I’d do a mostly chrome delete if you’re going red and black, it just looks cleaner. Maybe leave a tiny bit of chrome inside so it still feels cohesive, but blacked-out trim and badges on the outside would look great without trying to pass it off as a higher trim.

For tires, I’d keep the 20s and just go a bit taller. A small level or 2–3" lift with 33s looks perfect on these without going overboard. I was in the same boat recently and spent way too much time reading Tire Agent reviews to compare noise and ride quality, but it definitely helped narrow things down.

Should turn out sharp either way.
