Just checked the price of Eastwood. Not bad. I was thinking one gun alone was $300+

yeah not bad at all for a quality HVLP gun that can spray at 6CFM. As much painting as you do with rattle cans you might want to move up to even just a detail gun and yield way better results

When i got this Denali it was missing a bunch of lugs. So i bought another set thinking it was the exact same lock/spline key. but, of course, it wasn't. So i always had ONE wheel that used a different key. Which was a pain.

So i went to buy another set and decided i would try something that fits my wheel a little more. So i got the shortest conical spikes i could find. You basically screw the lugnut on, then screw the spike INTO the lugnut.

i didn't want some big crazy in your face spikes sticking out. i Just wanted them to play off the sharp designs inside of the wheels. So i think these worked out great. Subtle.

Pros: Looks dope
Cons: Some of my stems are shorter than others, so the cone can or cant screw all the way flush on some. Going to need either a super deep socket or remove every tip one by one to remove a wheel. For now they are staying and at least i dont have a ton of mismatched crap.

Rock it til you need a change. The spikes play off the angles of the spokes for sure. I couldn’t pull it off. Lol

Just like 05Single and his Plasti Dip. Inexpensive changes/mods keep it fun.

The big ones, like your paint, will be a huge impact. Enjoy it man.

Now we need some photo shoot with beams or rays of light shooting out from the spikes ... thinking of other ideas...6 shooter silver bullets. Sorry back to the regularly scheduled mods.

yeah, yours are more of a smooth wheel, i get it.
it's nice to not need two different wheel keys. But you gotta be careful washing your wheels with these medievil hand cutters protruding.

Never been a fan of the spikes, but once again, somehow on your truck, they look awesome. They do really go well with the wheels. Don't know how you do it, Pete. You got some kinda magic eyeball, fo sho.

haha, thanks. and i never been a fan of them either. i guess i spend a lot of time on my driveway drinking beer and staring at my cars contemplating ideas. doesnt always work. the spikes just go with that sharp star shape in the center of the wheel to me.
Beer is the magic potion :)
