hey guys, hope yall are doing good, i haven't been on in a while ive been outta town with my tahoe in the shop from a recent accident :/ it wasnt too bad but the bumper and radiator grill needed to be changed..now im wondering, i see all these write ups on painting your grill, but what about painting your bumper?? i really want to do this is this the same process as painting your grill? i love the whole Z71 and denali look to it

Yup, pretty much the same process. A few people have done it recently, I would like to do it also, just have to wait till its warmer cause I dont have a garage.

Ohhh that's bomb I didn't know it's the same process cuz the guy at the body shop said the paint will all fall apart and won't hold but I guess not haha I'm sure with all the steps in the write up itl be finee but one problem is that my bumper is kinda creased from a little dent :/ is that gonna be a problem?

How big of a crease? Is it actually a crease or for of a round dent?

I plan to paint my front and rear bumper as well. I've heard people say powdercoating is the way to go for the front because regular paint will chip from rocks and other highway debris. I'm also considering some sort of black vinyl for the rear bumper. Check warrlac if you can find him. He applied a black vinyl from Oracal that looks sick and will give you the Z71 bumper look you're going for. If not, like puck said, pretty similar process to painting the grill. Clean, sand, prime, sand, paint, sand, clear.

Im thinking of paining my front and rear bumper , id like to paint them to match my wheels but they are teflon coated. Anyone know of any where that can do teflon? Or if its the same process as powdercoating? Never really heard of anyone doing it.
