I've got a new foam for my driver's seat. Looks like I need to break out the welder to install it.
You don't need a welder unless the metal seat frame is cracked, like mine.

He said my seat foam was in great shape and would still add a small strip on the outer edge.

I would bet so too. I am 280 lbs. and 6'4" tall and mine did not squeak. What is the truck that the seat is in?

3 days ago, when my classic Country Western music station volume was turned down, I heard a rub noise from the rear when applying brakes. Brakes still worked great as usual. Had my girl, Linda, climb in and I walked around listening while she did slow rolls forward and applied brakes. Definitely noise at left rear. The outer surface of the rotors showed no signs of metal to metal. I bought rear pads and rotors, just in case and tore it down. At the very outer edge of the inner rotor surface, there was a slight metal to metal look and could barely catch with my fingernail. Upper inner pad was worn at a very slight angle and showed the metal rub. My park brake works great so I removed both rotors and did a swirl finish on them with a course sanding pad and did a thorough brake clean up and installed new pad hardware and lubed everything and put back together and torqued the lug nuts to 140 ft. lbs. and roadtested smooth and no noise. Returned the rotors for credit.

While up in the air I did look at the front pads and are about 50% thickness and even, side to side, inner and outer. I am at 174,600 miles and this GMT800 Tahoe keeps letting me know why the GMT800 series has the reputation as the most reliable series in GM's fleet.

Sorry, no pics. It was 38 degrees and foggy, so I hustled thru this work. Yes, I went to my local wholesale warehouse and bought AC Delco Gold/Professional.

I wonder if you picked up something metal along the road, or if there was an imperfection with a piece of metal (or oversized metal) in the pad mixture before it was finish baked.

Oil & filter change day. WIX 51522 oil filter and Valvoline Restore & Protect 5W-30 full synthetic oil....6 quarts.

Cleaned the MAF and changed the air filter with a WIX filter.

Then I found this and pulled the nest out and vacuumed out the case and sprayed rodent deterrent inside the case and all over the cowling area and the engine compartment.

Took off this morning to go to Portland International Airport to dump my girl's daughter for her return trip to Dallas Fort Worth Airport. I say DUMP because it has been a long 8 days. Anyway, on way back and within 3 miles of my house, my speedo turned to 175,000 miles and it is still running as good as ever. Idle oil pressure is at 33 to 35 psi, highway speed of 75 mph oil pressure at 50 psi, hot coolant temp always at 200 degrees and charging system at just above 14 volts at idle. No CEL's since I did O2's about 3.5 to 4 years ago.

I still say and always will, that the GMT800 series is the best and most dependable.

I will always have a soft spot for these bodystyles. I wish I could have gotten one over my GMT900 but in MI Rust free examples pull way more than I can afford lol.

Went to go get parts and fluids for a major job/maintenance on my landlord's 2018 Suburban and looked down before pulling out of driveway and saw this.

LOL, that kind of number magic will send mama straight to the lottery ticket store. She never expects to win, but then again... And she just has fun with it.
