Opinions on Potential Hybrid Mods ...

Mmm I might get them from Amazon cause they sell them for sixty bucks.
I'm wondering if I should connect the lead wires by just twisting them together and taping them with electrical tape or if I should have someone solder them?

oh boy...
Strip the ends of the wires, twist together OR use butt connectors (the red ones), and HEAT SHRINK them. Get some small diameter heatshrink, put it over the exposed wire or butt connector, and take a butane torch or cigar lighter (i find that easiest to use) and heat it up lightly until it forms a tight fit. They also make butt connectors that can be heated up and shrink.
THIS IS NOT HARD TO DO, SO DONT RUN SERGE!!!!

I'll live with it for a week or so and if it bothers me I'lll take the hybrid out knowing that I like the way it looks with just tahoe.

Either way, definitely looks better than the stock "Hybrid"
