I’m having a slight issue with my 08 Tahoe with the 5.3 at first don’t loyal pressure gauge was reading zero with the car on the running perfectly fine I change the sensor and down the oil pressure gauge is functioning normal so it seems but I still get a check engine code for it what could be the issue on this The picture is what it reads when I am at Idle I’m also getting a cold for a evap vent solenoid The guy at AutoZone said that because of the evap it could be making the oil pressure go off but that just doesn’t make sense

A few years back I had an issue with my oil pressure gauge showing 0 psi at random times. After a bunch of troubleshooting and trying different things what finally fixed it is taking out the little screen deal that goes around the oil pressure sensor at the back of the intake. The thing was causing bogus readings. Ever since then I've had 0 issues with the gauge at all. Something worth considering. I'm sure could be other possible scenarios causing your issue but that's one thing that most people don't think about that could also be causing your issue.
