Well, I finally got my HID kit for my 880 fogs and it more than justified the mod once I got power to them, it really completes teh front end. Here is a 880 HID at 35W and 4300K compared to a Sylvania 893.
I have not finished assemply yet as seen by the ballast on the ground. However, I have come in to some questions for those of you who have down this mod.
Ultimately, the part that goes into the factory wireharness is two spade type connectors, as there is not a female adator that fits into with the kit. i have tried to illustrate in teh pic. It works, but the harness where it connects to the factory wiring now has two exposed spade connectors slid into it. Not water proof in the least. Is this normal? did I get the wrong kit. Ultimately I could just clip it and solder or connect the proper wires but I might want to reverse this some day.
your thoughts??
