OK guys I'm thinking my next addition to the denali is gonna be a stall converter.

My tuning guy suggested either a 3200 or 3600 cause I have a pretty aggressive cam.

My cam is a futral f13 230/232 591/585 112

Thanks guys!

Not sure what you are asking here. Are you looking for confirmation of your tuner's recommendations from the folks here in the Forum? Are you looking for alternate suggestions or recommendations?

It may also help if you list your year, make, model, engine, as well as any other mods that you've installed, in addition to the cam.

Tyler, go to the converter guy and fill out his form for a converter ....cam , tire size , gear ratio , use etc. then HE will recommend the correct converter .

Sample on a custom converter :

https://www.bteracing.com/application-form

The form will vary from BTE to Precision etc. But a good converter shop will want to know alot about the application. Off the shelf stall converters are not the best in my opinion.

Filling out your profile will help when asking for advice.

Can't compare a stall in a 5th gen Camaro (and supercharged, at that) to one for an '02 Denali AWD with a Gen3 6.0 with your mods, etc.

I agree that the best way to get what would work for your particular setup is going to the different companies you're considering getting a stall from and getting their recommendations. As for brands, I'm a fan of Circle D and FTI.

it drives way more normal vs cam and stock converter pushing it through the brakes at a stop light. my car would just take off when i let off the brakes and get to say 20 mph damn fast all on its own.

with the stall it feels much better. i dont need to stand on the brakes when stopped, it will roll when you let off the brakes, but its much like stock, i also need to give it a bit more gas to get it moving but actually feels better.

iirc you have a hptuner, if so down load the bluecat trans tool and use that to tune the apply release files and the other items its got listed after the tc is installed. for what ever reason my tuner left the apply release files stock, so i tuned em with bluecat and it really woke the car up.

Mine isn't a 6.0...it was replaced with a built ls1.

I think I'm gonna call circle d next week and tell them what I have and see what they suggest

I’m running a FTI triple disc billet 3400 stall on my blown 6.0. Very happy with it. FTI did have a form to fill out when ordering with vehicle type, weight, AWD/ 2WD/ 4WD, gear ratio, hp, trans, etc.
How's the daily driveability?
