After alot of thinking, I decided I'm not putting anymore money in my tahoe, I'm going to sell it as is or part her out. I took my sister to a local Kia dealership today so she can pick out a new puke green soul. A few cars over was setting this beautiful Cadillac escalade, pearl white, 2003, 6.0 awd with only 103k miles on her. I checked her out and fell in love, I'm going back in the morning and bringing her home with me.

Be sure to check those diffs, trans and front end which usually go bad oh, and the air ride system. With key on in ignition, listen to see if you can hear the air ride compressor come on and that their isn't any leaks.

Air ride will be the first to go, I like coil springs. I'll take it to my mechanic before signing any papers. Thanks!

If you get rid of air ride, let me know, I'd be interested in the shocks and pump as a spare

Yeah man. Good things to come with that ride. Hope it all works out and not too many gremlins running around.

bad dood! congrats... LQ9 and the NVG149 4L65E combo is (was for me) tons of freaking fun man, as you saw what i stated before about the trans... that was the weakest point in the drivetrain, I did shread the viscus clutch of the 149 into tiny pieces of silicone once, but I believe that to have been a major fluke.... or bad programming (tq mgmt) - 12 lbs of boost, cammed, with a T Blazer tq cvtr... If you get into some serious power down the road, or thoughts of serious power... start with a solid foundation, from what I've been told by the dudes (back in the day) over at silveradoss.com an output shaft has hit mainstream to mate the NVG149 to a 4L80E, back when i had my truck there was one person on the planet rocking that shaft (that sounds awful even as im typing it), but that was a friend of mine, Kurt Urban, and with that it held up for 26 lbs of boost on a 427 running 10s (daily driver) with AWD and an 80... anywho, start there and the world becomes your oyster / more piece of mind that you'd never regret!!!
